He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Roosevelt Murray and Plona Lee Murray (Gaskin); and his siblings, Welby, Lewis, Dimple, Hazel, Virl and Eldon.
He is survived by: his wife Linda G. Murray of Morristown; his children, Vernon Murray (Traci) of Morristown, Monica Powell of Morristown, Nikki Chisham (Jeff) of Morristown and Davina Odom (Brad) of Carthage; and his siblings, Deborah Ridge of Indianapolis, Rosetta Troy of Oklahoma and Arnold Murray of Oklahoma. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
