With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Proffitt in Morristown, Indiana, born in Lewisville, Indiana, who passed away on February 7, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Wesley and Flonnie Wesley (Jasper); her husband Robert Proffitt; her grandson Scott Maple; and her brother Ronnie Wesley.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Smith of Rushville and Chelly Maple (Greg) of Rushville; her stepdaughter Debbie Hornsby of Rush County; her siblings, Rex Wesley (Elizabeth) and Betty Youst of New Castle; and her grandchildren, Audrey May (Gregory), Josh Hornsby (Kelli Decker) and Brandon Hornsby (Paige). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
