He was predeceased by: his sisters, Nancy Hockersmith and Edith Mullens. He is survived by: his children, Michael Hockersmith (Melissa), Stephen Hockersmith (Jennifer), Kathryn Charbeneau (Dean), Jeffrey Hockersmith (Julie), Jodi Bullard (Kenny Stader), Carl Nickel, David Nickel and Diane Bennett (David); and his sister Dorothy Ward of Shelbyville. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
