He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Francis Purdy and Ruby Mae Purdy (Wooton). He is survived by: his daughter Megan De La Garza (Alex) of Lafayette; his sister Donna Brown (Randy) of Remington; his grandchildren, Nevaeh, Reagan, Wyatt, Brea and Allie; his niece Amanda Cornell of Lafayette; his nephew Jason Cornell (Dawn) of Morocco; his great-niece Marissa Cornell; his great-nephews, Kyler and Keaton Cornell; and his cousin Carolyn Mathew (Kay Kay).
