It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Sturgeon (Morgantown, Indiana), who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Walter Sturgeon; his stepmother Eva Sturgeon (Williamson); his daughter Pam Byers; and his sister Darlene Lee. He is survived by: his wife Loretta "Faye" Sturgeon; his children, Jeffrey Sturgeon (Joanne), Mike Sturgeon (Donna), Sheilah Smith (Bryan), Juanita Barger, Curt Ellis and Karen Rainwater (Rob); and his siblings, Glenda Taylor and Walda Lawson. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center (179 E Mulberry St, Morgantown, IN 46160). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
