She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelby F. and Mary E. Hoten (Horner); her brother George Hoten; her son-in-law Bill Wilson; and her great grandchild Jeremy E. Arwood.
She is survived by: her husband Charles W. Gaither; her children, Larry Gaither (Lori) of Waverly, Sharon Wilson of Nashville, Nancy Harbert (Ed) of Greenwood, Calvin Gaither (Sandy) of Nashville and Rick Gaither (Mary Ellen) of Nashville; and her brother Charles Hoten (Rosemary) of Fredricksburg. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
