It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willa Jean DeWitt of Mooresville, Indiana, born in Huntingburg, Indiana, who passed away on May 15, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Bernardi and Gertrude Bernardi (Harris); her former husband Herb McKinney; her husband Virgil "Harold" DeWitt; her children, Alan McKinney and Vicki Vonderheide; her son-in-law Jeff Vonderheide; her stepchildren, Roger DeWitt, Karen Harris and Sheryl Cherry; her siblings, Leta Gunselman, Margaret Renner, Robert, Donald, Jerry and Lowell Bernardi; and her grandsons, Seth Vonderheide and Sean McKinney.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Angie Myers (Josh), Erika Gehlhausen (Kevin), Sarah Felker (Jason) and Clara Vonderheide (Eric Tretter); and her stepsons, Tim DeWitt (Sheri) and Michael DeWitt (Kathy). She is also survived by eight step-grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
