With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Poynter of Mooresville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Poynter and Geneva Ruth Poynter (Denney); and his sister Willene Parrish. He is survived by: his wife Linda M. Poynter (Johnson) of Mooresville; his children, Cheryl Johnson (Jonas) of Bloomfield, Cindy Gilbert (Tim) of Plainfield, Wayne Poynter Jr. of Maryland and Catrena Marlin (Joe) of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Katie Flora, Carrie Parker, Heather Gomez, Amanda White, Ryan Poynter, Jonathan Poynter, David Poynter, Mack Marlin and Dan Marlin; his great grandchildren, Nichole, Gage, Taylor, Ayden, Issac, Sloan, Paxton, Paige, Preston and Cora; his siblings, Clinton, Tom Poynter, Gloria Walker and Susie Poynter; and his friend Brody.
