She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard "Bernie" Rushton; her parents, Edward McKendree and Ossie Emma Smith (Waltz); her sister Margaret "Margy" Alice Mendenhall (Smith); her son-in-law Phillip; her nephew Edward Ray Mendenhall; and her great-nephew Edward Austin Mendenhall.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Rushton (Linda) of Camby, Brenda Hunt (John) of Mooresville and Betsy Rainbolt of Newark, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Rushton (Kia), Tiffany Thies (Christopher), Jessica Scalf, Lindsay Luttrell (Dale), Courtney Horgan, Stephanie Houghton (Joel), Sarah Gardner (Brian), Paul "Joe" Hunt (Hannah), Sam and Erin Rainbolt. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Plainfield Christian Church.
