He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Thompson; and his sister Carolyn Fulkerson. He is survived by: his mother Kathryn Thompson; his son Patrick Thompson (Kathryn); his granddaughter Jamie Thompson; his sisters, Patricia Harvey (David) and Linda Van Aken (David); and his brother-in-law Jimmie Fulkerson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
