He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Ricketts and Barbara Ricketts (Snyder). He is survived by: his wife Natasha Ricketts; his daughter Kaylen; and his siblings, Chad Ricketts (Billie), Sue May (Alan) and Jennifer Ricketts.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Dewey's name to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
