He was predeceased by: his parents, Mordaci Cummins and Grace Cummins (Cress); his wife Vera Marie Cummins (Chambers); his granddaughter Pam Muelhausen; and his siblings, Vick Cummins, Chester Cummins, Lloyd Cummins, George Cummins and Gladys Cromer.
He is survived by: his children, Louis Dirrell Cummins Jr. (Carol) of Mooresville and Evelyn Sue King (Ken) of Brazil. He is also survived by five Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; and four Great Great Grandchildren.
