He was loved and cherished by many people including: his stepdaughter Kathy Wallace; his wife Edna Smith (Palmer); his sons, Rickey L. Smith (Cindy), William G. Smith (Carol), Gerald M. Smith and Ronald R. Smith (Anita); his stepdaughter Jeana McGriffin (Jack); and his son-in-law Jerry Wallace. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
