She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldred Smiley and Viola Ruth Smiley (Ketzendorf); and her grandson Elijah Duke. She is survived by: her husband Pastor Ken R. Duke of Mooresville; her stepchildren, Staceya Danick (Dale) of Mooresville and Jared Duke (Jill) of Avon; her grandchildren, Amber (Braeden), Patience (Geoff), Caleb (Hannah), Ethan, Keegan, Samson and Annalyn; and her siblings, Charles Smiley (Robin), James Smiley (Sherri), Mary Gay (Mike) and Doris Ellington (Tim). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
