He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wayne Cox and LaFern L. Cox (Stewart); and his daughter Jean Ann Cox. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Diveley; his brother William Cox (Ruth) of Mooresville; his children, Christopher Lee Cox (Mindi) of Tucson and Teresa L. Aytes (Jerry) of Mooresville; and his grandchildren, Nathan Smith (Sarah), Matthew Smith (Nicole), Jeffrey Cox and Molly Adams. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
