He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Dean Sr. and Cindy Darlene Cline (Eggert); and his son Joe Dean. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Dean of Indianapolis and Timothy "Bobby" Dean (Bethany) of Indianapolis; and his siblings, Jon Cogswell of Plainfield and Angela Gregory of Mooresville. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
