He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Elaine Starkey Jr. (Graham). He is survived by: his children, Makayla Bratcher (Nicolas) of Mooresville and Brian Starkey of Mooresville; his father James E. Starkey Sr.; his siblings, Cari Beasley (Billy) of Mooresville and Ryan Starkey (Jayce) of Mooresville; and his nieces and nephews, Devon, Payton, Trey, Neveah, Cole, Dawson, Mackenzie, Maddie and Willow. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jamie's memory to help offset funeral expenses, c/o Makayla Bratcher or Brian Starkey.
