He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley A. Welker (Sowards); his granddaughters, Abigail Ann and Victoria Ann Welker; and his siblings, Jim Welker, Darryl Welker, Clarise Ball, Lawson Ball and Phylllis Ball.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Kovach (Jim) of Columbus, Robert Welker (Tracy) of Martinsville and Kenny Welker (Christy) of Martinsville; his grandchildren, Katelin Kovach, Chris, Elijah, Evie, Lena, Karina Welker and Sophie Merriman; and his siblings, Billy Welker, Ron Welker, Eloise Guthrie and Betty Jane Cummings.
