He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Hill and Helen Hill (Haynes); his wife Julia A. Hill (Joyce); his daughter Kathleen Wright; his granddaughter Amanda Johnson; his great grandchild Isaac Crawford; his siblings, Ivan Jr., Robert, Howard Hill, Peggy Palmer and Sonja "Sis" Hill; and his half-siblings, Hally Root, Ellie Coppack, Betty Cockrun, Sam and Melvin Hill.
He is survived by: his daughter Maureen Crawford of Mooresville; his grandchildren, Allen Wright and Whitney Lee Sanchez; his great grandchildren, Devin Teague and Jonah Crawford; and his great great grandchild Bryson Crawford.
