She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Shearer and Lorena Shearer (King). She is survived by: her husband Rev. L. D. Payton; her children, Rev. Dennis Payton (Tammy) and Leslee D. Payton; her grandsons, Rev. Andrew D. Payton (Leslie) and Rev. Daniel L. Payton (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Jayden, Paige, Ella Payton, Emily, Carter and Luke Payton; and her brother William Roy "Bill" Sexton (Sandy). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren.
