He was predeceased by: his siblings, Veda Huddleston, Chester Sims and Earl Sims. He is survived by: his wife Anna Sims (Scott); his children, Donald E. Sims, Bradley J. Sims, Deborah Cox, Rebecca Engleman and Sue Ellen Barnett; and his stepdaughters, Linda BettsDonna Dick and Tina Lowe. He is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 1 great step grandchild.
