She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Staples and Celia Staples; her husband Hershel Kimmel; her sons, Tim Kimmel and Richard "Steve" Kimmel; and her siblings, Rufus Staples, James Staples, Elvis Staples, Marvin Staples, Christine Hersey, Pauline Speaks, Lois Staples and Joyce Sears.
She is survived by: her daughters, Myra Lighter and Nancy Foisy (James); her grandchildren, Jessica Mosier (Chris), Rachel Stephenson (Jonathan), Jason Sears, Lindsay Kimmel (Brian) and Ryan Kimmel (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Stephenson and Reagan Stephenson.
