He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Mills and Lilly Mills (Broughton); his wife Pauline Mills (Lawrence); and his grandson Jim Mills. He is survived by: his children, Clarence Mills Jr. (Donna) of Kentucky, David Mills (Jo) of Mooresville and Kathy Pulliam (Mike) of Mooresville; and his grandchildren, Mike, Duane, Marty Mills, Jeremy and Chase Taylor. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
