He was predeceased by: his wife Clara Taylor; and his siblings, Patricia Lyons and Jack Lacefield. He is survived by: his children, Bill (Debbie), Kent (Sondra), Sherri (Wayne), Linda (Jeff) and Vern II (late Barbara); and his stepdaughter Patty Lucas-Oles (Greg). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
