He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rosamund "Joy" Spencer of Mooresville, Indiana; his children, Carl Spencer Jr. (Penni) of Avon, Indiana, Regina Stinnett of Danville, Jessica Wallace (Brad) of Charolette and Barbie Dobbs (Jimmy) of Martinsville, Indiana; his mother Garnett Irene Spencer (Rogers); his siblings, Cheryl Miller of Sarasota, Debbie Gibson (Buck) of Nashville, Indiana, Brian Spencer of Indianapolis and Jeff Spencer of Indianapolis, Indiana; his mother-in-law Nancy Miller of Greenwood, Indiana; his father Elbert "Jack" Jackson Spencer; and his daughter Nina Snowdon. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
