He was predeceased by: his mothers, Connie Garland and Nora Garland; his siblings, Wayne Garland, Jimmie Lou Byasee and Patty Mix (Joe Lynn); and his grandson Joseph Sawyer.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Garland; his children, Steven Joe Garland (Michelle), Laura Sawyer (Kevin) and Joetta Garland; and his grandchildren, Robert Steven Garland, Grace Lynn Garland and Paul Michael Sawyer. He is also survived by Friends and family.
