She was predeceased by: her husband John Everett Nestleroad; her parents, Marion Abney Sr. and Della Myrtle Abney (Mullins); her husband John Everett Nestleroad; her siblings, Tenon Abney, Johnny Abney and Kathy K. Utterback; and her half-siblings, Marion Abney Jr., Keith Ray Abney, Preston Abney, Denzel Abney and Zella Miller.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Powell of Montpelier, IN; her grandchildren, John Harris (Bree) of Montpelier, IN and Katireana Harris (Carson) of Warren, IN; her siblings, Keytron Abney of Montpelier, IN, Terry Abney of Montpelier, IN and Ruby Slone (Ricky) of Lexington, KY; and her half-sisters, Faye Holbrook of Renfro Valley, KY and Barbara Johnson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walker & Glancy Funeral Home (109 W Windsor St, Montpelier, IN 47359). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
