He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Mary Helm (Jarboe); his parents, Sherman J. Helm and Mable Helm (Swindler); and his siblings, Sherman Helm, Dale Helm, Imogene Schmidt, Martelle Rhoton and Christina Rinker.
He is survived by: his children, Tammi Kay Helm of Hartford City, IN and Robert D. Helm (Christine) of Mineral, VA; his sisters, Donna Lou Brown (Donald) of Montpelier, IN and Joyce Willmann (Lewis) of Hartford City, IN; and his sister-in-law Mary Helm of Hartford City, IN. He is also survived by several Nieces & Nephews.
