With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jane Landis of Montpelier, Indiana, who passed away on October 21, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Grove and Rose Opal Grove (McGeath); her brothers, Mervin W. Rhea and Donald C. Grove; her son-in-law Tex Johnson; and her granddaughter-in-law Amy Thurman (Aulbach).
She is survived by: her husband Jean Richard Landis of Montpelier, IN; her daughters, Barbara Ann Thurman (Richard) of Hartford City, IN and Janet Sue Johnson of Travelers Rest, SC; and her grandchildren, James Thurman (Jill) of Hartford City, IN, Jane Ann Stroble (Chad) of Dunkirk, IN, Joy Leavell (Stephen) of Holly Springs, GA, Emily Crawford (Ross) of Muncie, IN, Lee Johnson of Piedmont, SC, Lew Johnson (Brandi) and Clay Johnson of Greer, SC. She is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Step Great Grandchildren.
