He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Smith (Haworth); his parents, Ernest Marshall Smith and Martha Lee Smith (Pierce); and his siblings, Ralph Fredrick Smith, Gatha Craig, Ray M. Smith and Loretta Kennedy.
He is survived by: his son Slade Smith (Amy) of Yorktown, IN; his granddaughters, Megan Christine Smith of Yorktown, IN and Rylee Grace Smith of Yorktown, IN; and his siblings-in-law, Howard Kennedy of New Castle, IN and Julia Smith of Monticello, KY.. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
