She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosie Mullins and Marion Abney, Sr.; her sons, Tenon Abney and John G. Abney; her stepsons, Marion "June" Abney, Jr., Keith Ray Abney, Denzil Abney and Preston Abney; and her siblings, Samuel James and Rachel Griffith.
She is survived by: her husband Marion; her children, Kathy Utterback of Lexington, KY, Keytron Abney of Montpelier, IN, Ruth Nestleroad of Montpelier, IN, Ruby Slone (Ricky) of Lexington, KY and Terry Abney (Carolyn) of Montpelier, IN; and her stepdaughters, Zella Miller of Lexington, KY, Faye Holbrook (John) of Renfro Valley, KY and Barbara S. Johnson of Mount Vernon, KY. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and several Step Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren.
