He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Smiley (Malo). He is survived by: his children, Bryan Smiley (Michelle) of Valparaiso, Nicole Vahary (Ed) of Hobart and Keith W. Smiley (Dominique) of Crown Point; his grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Brooklyn Smiley, Karlie and Kaylyn Vahary; his great grandchildren, Levi and Violet; his father William I. Smiley, Sr. of Florida; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Smiley (Karen), Lawrence "Larry" Smiley (Chrissy) and Nancy Dunaway; his former wife Diana Smiley of Winfield; and his brother-in-law Fred Brown (Sherry) of Windfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
