He was predeceased by: his father Robert D. Phelps. He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Anderson; his sons, Jerry Phelps (Jean) of Monticello, James Phelps (Joni) of Bluffton and Tommy Phelps (Susan Pfiffner) of Knoxville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Kimberly Phelps, Rusk of Delphi and Julie Phelps (Dan); his great grandchildren, Camilla Quinn Oldenkamp (Michael), Connor Oldenkamp, Gatlin Phelps, Emily Phelps, Grace Chumbley, Sienna Chumbley and Ruth Chumbley; his great great grandchildren, Theodore "Theo" Collier, Finnean "Finn" Collier, Stella Quinn Collier and Rowan Phelps; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Anderson of Granbury, Texas. He is also survived by Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Great Great Nieces, Great Great Nephews, Cousins.
