He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford A. Austin and Virginia Austin (Mayhew); his son Gary Joe "Bo" Austin; and his sister Margaret Million. He is survived by: his wife Linda DeHaven; his son Rick Lee Austin (Jennifer) of Florida; and his brother Bob Austin (Valerie) of Logansport. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fred L. Miller Memorial Chapel of the Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home (6368 US-24, Monticello, IN 47960). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
