He was predeceased by: his parents, John Simmons and Mary Simmons (Funfer); his sisters, Mary Jane Feinstein and Margaret Duffala; and his brothers-in-law, Ted Zukoski and Jim Duffala.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Gohde; his children, Mary Kay Ader (Patrick), Tammy Olsen (Sam), Joe Simmons, Jr. (Mary Beth) and Tina Valentin (David); his siblings, John Simmons (Jo) and Charlotte Zukoski; his grandchildren, Christopher (Kristen), Angela, Maureen (Billy), Natalie (Vince), Katie (Rich), Colleen, Danny (Samantha), Benjamin, Brianna, Joey, Kelsey, Riley and Francine; and his great grandchildren, Dillon, Joshua, Sullivan, Shae, Vinny, Bennett, Claire and Jane. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
