He was predeceased by: his mother Rosalee Ann Maxson (Mclaughlin); his sister Tammy Rose Priest; his parents-in-law, Delbert and Mary Wray; and his siblings-in-law, Robin Gustafson, Karen Sue Grimes, Jerry Stoner, Sr., Clarence "Gus" Gustafson, Richard "Dick" Grimes and Danny Priest.
He is survived by: his father Jimmy Maxson, Sr. (Suzanne); his wife Jacquelyn B. Wray; his children, Angie Frier (Gene, Sr.) of Monticello, Indiana and Bruce Maxson (Missy) of Monticello, Indiana; his grandchildren, Gene Frier, Jr. of Monticello, Casey Frier (Gabriella DeVecchis) of Huntersville, Emily Frier (Cobe Adams) of Monticello and Bryce Maxson of Monticello, Indiana; his great grandchild Kharter Frier of Monticello, Indiana; his brother Jerry Maxson (Allison) of Monticello, Indiana; and his siblings-in-law, Roxanna Stoner of Wabash, Indiana and Jack Wray of Delphi, Indiana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Happy Tails, Animal Rescue.
