James L. Milligan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Milligan of Monticello, Indiana, born in Saratoga, Indiana, who passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orla Lowell and Cordelia E. Milligan (Barber); his wife Lois "Muriel" Milligan (Hess); his brothers, Donald Larry Milligan, Michael F. "Mike" Milligan and John Milligan; and his siblings-in-law, Mickey Milligan and Melvin Teeter.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara J. Froman (Ferrell); his children, Linda Haworth (John) of Monticello, Nancy Milligan of Monticello, Nola Milligan (Max Wardlow) of McLouth, Sara Hindsley (Bob) of Greenbelt, Sylvia Ward (Ed) of Monticello and Jerry Milligan (Karen) of Wisconsin; his siblings, Mary Jane Hart (Walter) of Bartlesville, George Milligan (Pat) of Wolcott, Carol Teeter of Monticello, Shirley Rossano (Jerry) of Hollywood and Joseph "Joe" Milligan (Connie) of Monticello; and his sister-in-law Treena Milligan of Monticello. He is also survived by grandchildren, twenty-six (26) great-grandchildren, six (6) great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Monticello Christian Church or Kiwanis Club both of Monticello, Indiana.
