She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Benjamin and Gloria Benjamin; and her brother Richard. She is survived by: her siblings, Diane Benjamin of Portland and Robert Benjamin, Jr. of Ooltewah, Tennessee..

In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Happy Tails Animal Shelter in Buffalo, Indiana.
