He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh McLacklan and Donna McLacklan (Konkle); and his son Earle, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bridgeman; his sons, Steve McLachlan (Stacey), Troy McLachlan and Brandon McLachlan; and his sisters, Elizabeth Jenson, Carolyn Moore and Pat Waluszko.
