He was predeceased by: his father James David. He is survived by: his children, Patrick Scroggs (Nancy) of Monroe, NC and Sherry Evans (Greg) of Monticello; his sister Marjean Marvin (Jim) of Idaville; his grandchildren, Lyndsi Dreckman (Jared), Ryan Scroggs and Samantha Evans; his great grandchildren, Avery, Adilyn and Jace; and his children, Melonie Payne (Jeff) of Florida, Stephanie Snoeburger (Tim) of Lafayette and Brad Murray of Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Idaville First Church of God.
