With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Britt A. Murphy Sr. of Montezuma, Indiana, born in Clinton, Indiana, who passed away on September 13, 2023 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Sara Gill; his grandmother Myrtle Gill; and his niece Sarah Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Starla Murphy (Brown); his children, Cassie Frink (Brad) of Rockville, Indiana and Britt Murphy Jr. of Montezuma, Indiana; his siblings, Ty Murphy (Brenda) of Dana, Indiana and Shelly Vincent (Rob) of Montezuma, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Novel Crabtree, Jaxsen and Alivia Frink.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parke-Vermillion Humane Society in memory of Britt.

“Although very much after the fact, I today (April 18th 2024) did a basic online search for Britt hoping to obtain a current phone number and his obituary popped up which very much saddened me. As a kid, I lived in Lafayette but I met Britt in the early 1970’s as he and his siblings lived close to my Great Aunt in Montezuma. I liked Britt from the start as he was a fun kid to be around. I certainly miss him very much. I hope to hear from his siblings. Dave Cole Lafayette, Indiana (765) 714-4200”
