With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Smalley of Monterey, Indiana, born in Michigan City, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 19, 2024 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Krueger and Wanda L. Krueger (Christian); and her husband Howard D. Smalley. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen F. Plotner of LaPorte, Milo Clemons of LaPorte and Karen Frederick of Winamac; her grandchildren, Tim Hostetler of Michigan City, Tyler Clemons of LaPorte and Britney Kleine of Arkansas; her sister Sharon L. Hostetler of New Carlisle; and her close friends, Deborah and Phyllis. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
