He was predeceased by: his brother James Alger; his parent Bob; and his siblings, Rusty, Greg Bennett and Elizabeth Hagans.
He is survived by: his siblings, D. C. and Rosa "Roberta" Bennett (Neyhart); his caregivers, Ericka, Angela, Sarah and McKenzie; his wife Nancy L. Bennett; his sons, Jim Bennett and Rodney Bennett (Amy); his siblings, Corky Bennett (Kay), Ed Bennett (Paula), Randy Bennett and Patricia Wells; his grandchildren, Torri Averitt (Shawn), Dacia Bennett, Abby Stock (Ethan), Peyton Milton (Jordon) and Aurora Bennett; and his great grandchildren, Russel, Spencer Averitt, Asher Stock and Hadley Reel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
