He was predeceased by: his father Virgil Mason; his wife Carolyn L. Mason (Bean); and his siblings, Arthur, Harry, Floyd, Maurice Mason, Martha Pauley, Mary Cherry (Mag) and Dorothy Lane.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah "Jo" Fraker (Tim) of Martinsville and Paul L. "Butch" Mason (Julie) of Monrovia; his grandsons, Aaron Fraker (Ashley) of Martinsville, Charlie Fraker (Torie) of Martinsville and Austin Mason (Katy) of Cloverdale; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Fraker (Maddy) of Morgantown, Trent Fraker, Jake Fraker of Kaylee Fraker, A. J, Virgil, Leonard Storm, Caroline Mason, Michael Fleener and Lizzy Owen.
