He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Faris and Nora Ellen Knox (Sapp); his wife Mary Evelyn Knox (Harper); his children, Donna Kerr and James "Jim" Knox; his siblings, Gerald Knox and Naomi Jett; and his grandsons, Lester and Nick Knox.
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Ellen McMurray (Mac) of Franklin; his children-in-law, Rhonda Knox of Monrovia and Roger Kerr of Bloomington; his sister-in-law Lola Knox of Owingsville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, James Smith of Clayton, MaryAnn Smith (Lisa) of Franklin, Levi Knox (Casey) of Martinsville, Lacey Cox (George) of Monrovia and Lance Knox of Martinsville; his great grandchildren, Gordon Smith, Lilly, Kaden, Henry, Nick Cox, Alexis, Landon, Evelyn, Jenson Knox and Bryan Smith; and his great great grandchildren, Angel and Bryan Smith.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Food and Fellowship. The military honors was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:15 PM at the Center Valley Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made payable to the donor's choice of either the Monrovia Christian Church, Center Valley Cemetery Association, or the Mooresville Honor Guard and mailed to c/o Light Memorial, 585 E. Main Street, Monrovia, IN 46157.
