She was predeceased by: her father Hubert Henry; her brother Jerry Schmalfeldt; her grandchild Deseree Davis; and her niece Lora Schmalfeldt. She is survived by: her husband Greg Olar of Monrovia; her children, Taryn Valbert (Wendell) of Martinsville and Tracie Lacher (John) of Martinsville; her siblings, Jack Schmalfeldt (Sherran) of Plainfield, Jeffrey Schmalfeldt (Patricia) of North Carolina, Jay Schmalfeldt (Molly) of Texas and Jennifer Hoyt (Daryl) of Maryland; her grandchildren, Heather Otto (Tim) of Martinsville, Wesley Valbert (Kori) of Martinsville and Michael "Ryan" Lacher (Amanda) of Eminence; her great grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Samuel Hamilton, Wade, Emmy Valbert, Taylor, Faith and Jamie Lacher; and her nieces and nephews, Cherryl Neher, Bruce, Rhonda, Derek, Todd Schmalfeldt, Wendy Skinner, Tanja Schmalfeldt, Nathan, Jasmine and Chrysan Hoyt.
