It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geneva A. Brummett (Monrovia, Indiana), who passed away on October 10, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence McCoy and Ida McCoy (Fleener); her husband Arza Brummett; and her siblings, Clarice Richardson, Ruby Inez Clay, Dorthea Pather, Wanda Bowman and Lawrence McCoy Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Norman H. Brummett (Kay) of Franklin and Norma A. Pate (Kenneth) of Monrovia; and her grandchildren, Steven H. Brummett (Kristi) of Nashville, Eric Rudie (Stephanie) of Whitestown, Anita Jackson (Scott) of Rushville, David K. Pate (Brenda) of Monrovia, Katy Pate (Fred Mau) of Marietta, GA, James Pate of Toledo, OH and John Pate (Sherry) of Shelbyville. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

“I am so sorry that I was not aware of her living in Monrovia. We couldn't be close as 1st cousins but she was very close to my sisters. I am the youngest of Lona Fleener-Richards. Ida's younger sister. My sister Marion, Bette Jane and Emma Kathline were closer to her age. But I remember the little house in Bloomington that her and Arza Lived. Mother would stop in when we made the trip from Martinsville to B-town. I am so very sorry for your loss. Janice Ann Richards-Abel”
