She was predeceased by: her son David L. Schmidt; and her brother Theodore Herman. She is survived by: her husband George H. Schmidt; her children, Joseph A. Schmidt (Cynthia) of Monroeville and Theresa M. Acosta (Frank) of Monroeville; her sister Sharon Grim (Kenneth) of Decatur; her grandchildren, Veronica Schmidt (Nathan Hundley), Frank Acosta II, Anthony Acosta and Carmen Acosta; and her great grandchildren, Angel Hundley and Dominic Hundley. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and four step great-great-grandchildren.
