As Rilla Rosalie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Rilla Rosalie. Though Rilla Rosalie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Belote and Helen Belote (Draper); her husband Richard Smith Sr.; her sons, Richard Smith Jr. and Ray Smith; her grandchild Nitika Smith; and her daughter-in-law Janice Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Teena Castleman (Jerry) of Monroeville, Indiana, James Smith of South Bend, Indiana and Leonard Smith of North Carolina; and her daughters-in-law, Carrie Smith of Indiana and Julie Smith of Fremont, Indiana. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, forty five great-grandchildren.
