With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry D Gilbert of Monroeville, Indiana, who passed away on October 24, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Gilbert and Violet Gilbert (Jewell); his wife Nona A. Richard; and his siblings, Marvin Gilbert, Ruth McDowell (Ed) and Iva Stevenson (Charlie).
He is survived by: his sons, Brion Gilbert (Connie) of Monroeville, Indiana and Doug Gilbert (Marta) of Monroeville, Indiana; his sister Barbara Steffes (Ray) of Hoagland, Indiana; his grandchildren, Cody Gilbert, Cory Gilbert (Melissa), Kendal Bennett (Tyler) and Jordan Gilbert (Corbin Kuhnle); and his great grandchildren, Faith Putman, Amore Gilbert, Londyn Gilbert, Coen Gilbert, Jack Gilbert and Baker Bennett.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel (111 S Water St, Monroeville, IN 46773). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
